    • Benefits Manager

      The Board of Regents of University System of Georgia Board Human Resources office is seeking a Benefit Manager responsible for the daily administration and delivery of system-wide USG employee benefit plans and programs. This position works closely with various stakeholders and USG campus partners to provide guidance and assistance with health and voluntary benefit plans and programs. This position manages and coordinates the implementation of new or modified plans, employee benefits practices and assists with the administration of existing plans. This position is also responsible for preparation and review of communication materials, such as announcements, and other media for communicating plans to institutions and to employees/retirees.

      The Georgia Film Academy (GFA) is a collaborative effort of the University System of Georgia and the Technical College System of Georgia. GFA will address the workforce needs of the growing Film and TV Production Industry.

This position provides administrative support or technical support to African-American Male Initiative (AAMI) which is a sub-unit within the Academic Affairs department, specifically Strategic Academic Initiatives (SAI).

      Administrative support activities generally include: drafting correspondence, creating spreadsheets and presentations, maintaining databases and records, effectively managing assigned projects, preparing reports, maintaining inventory records, filing, assisting with meetings, e.g. reserving rooms/meeting facilities, taking minutes, room set-up and other projects as assigned by the Director.

      Technical support activities generally include: purchasing equipment and supplies, processing purchase orders or vouchers, processing accounts receivable/payable transactions, processing travel reimbursements, and other projects as assigned by the Director.

    • Retirement Plan Services Intern/Student Assistant

      The University System of Georgia (USG) is a part of the community in each of Georgia’s 159 counties and provides services across the state to 26 higher education institutions. Our opportunity takes you on a path to fully involve yourself in USG’s culture while learning about retirement plan administration. The student assistant role is tailored to provide training on employer sponsored retirement plan servicing while gaining valuable knowledge on all of the moving parts of retirement plan administration in the public sector.
      You will have an opportunity to be creative on system wide initiatives, while still learning and growing in retirement related areas. You will develop a high level understanding of USG goals and mission, while gaining experience in a fast paced and collaborative environment. The University System of Georgia’s Retirement Department focuses on providing policy, procedure, education, and retirement plan administration of the Optional Retirement Plan and additional supplemental plans (403b, 457b) to USG employees system wide.

      What You Will Learn:
      As an student assistant your learning will encompass many different areas of administration in addition to the following:
      • The fundamentals to retirement plan management for a public university
      • Maintenance of USG’s retirement website and internal HR practitioner portal
      • Creation of compelling video content that will be shared by USG employees
